AIGEL is an electronic duo consisting of Tatar poet and singer Aigel Gaisina and St. Petersburg-based producer Ilya Baramiya. The band has become one of the most distinctive independent musical acts to emerge from Eastern Europe.

AIGEL’s sound blends dark bass-driven electronics, shamanic rave, industrial textures, ethnic influences, and emotionally charged vocals with powerful storytelling in Tatar, Russian, English, and German.

Their viral tracks “Tatarin” and “Pyyala” brought the duo international recognition. “Pyyala” topped streaming charts in 25 countries and reached No. 1 on the global Shazam chart in 2024. The band’s music videos have received international recognition, winning awards including the Berlin Music Video Awards and Cannes Lions.

Since 2022, AIGEL has been banned from performing in Russia due to the band’s anti-war stance and is now based in Berlin. From August to October 2026, the duo will embark on a European tour with a brand-new concert programme featuring both new material and their biggest hits.
